When different cultures seek to live together, they have to simplify. Anyone who says this is unacceptable and that they simply can’t live with it is in for an impossibly difficult time. At the risk of exaggerating, I’d say the history of humanity is like a giant river swirling with the notion of “dumbing things down a bit.”
