Murakami Radio Translations

Murakami Radio is a collection of Haruki Murakami's short personal essays. It was originally published in June 2001 by Magazine House. In each of the 51 essays, Murakami reflects on something that occured in his life that, no matter how seemingly trivial, left an impression on him. He explores romance, The Beatles, mortality and the passage of time, and of course, food. To my knowledge, this work has never been translated into English in its entirety. I am posting one translation each Saturday in 2021.
