August 30

Your hard work over the summer won’t produce results for two or three months. Expect there to be a time gap between labor and reward. You’ll see result in the fall, which means that summer is the time for perseverance. The worst pattern you can get stuck in is getting fed up and quitting when you don’t see immediate results. It’s essential to stick with it until fall. Summer is the season of building study habits. Fall is the season of applying those habits to get results.

-Hirokazu Tanaka, “Summer Of Study, Summer Of Games: 2011
