August 18

I have this one special letter. I was really close to my grandma, and when I moved away from home I’d send her letters all the time. But she had some physical problems and wasn’t able to write me back. One day, I visited my home town and my grandma handed me a white envelope. On the outside was my name in shaky handwriting, and inside were the words “Thank you, for everything,” on stationery. She passed away one year later. I can’t look at that letter without crying, so I keep it behind some things on my book shelf for now.
