Americans generally start working at a company already knowing what type of job they want to have. Like, if you want to be a computer programmer, you’ll study Computer Science and then start programming as soon as you’re hired. But in Japan people have their sights set on a particular company, and don’t really care what their job entails once they get hired there. That’s crazy! Would you really be happy doing that?
