A little pupae on the orange tree outside my eight floor apartment window wrapped itself into a cocoon and then emerged as a butterfly. As I was returning home from my morning job, a butterfly fluttered up to me, and without thinking I said, “Aren’t you the one who was born up on the eight floor?” Well, the butterfly flew in circles around me. It was a strange and magical moment where it felt like the butterfly remembered me since it had been watching me ever since it was a caterpillar.
