February 28

I practiced ballet every single day starting around 5th grade, but all the time it took didn’t bother me. It seemed normal to say bye to my friends after school and head off in a different direction. Rather than be upset, I probably felt a certain pride in my demanding schedule. I’m the type to take pleasure in being different than the other kids. That’s what kept me going, and it seems like it suited me nicely.
