Recently I’ve been thinking about the simple piano piece “Chopsticks,” or as it’s called in Japan, “Stepped On The Cat.” I never really got what that meant until I lived with a cat. But when there’s a cat in the house there’s no avoiding it! Cats approach silently, way more so than dogs, so sometimes you don’t realize they’re there. And that’s when you accidentally step on them.
