I had bought everything I needed to make mapo tofu for dinner that night, but when I took my son to preschool I saw that they were going to give him mapo eggplant for lunch. Well, I didn’t want him to have basically the same meal twice in one day, so I asked my husband to run to the store. I told him to pick up whatever he was in the mood for. Big mistake.
