This watercolor I’m working on hasn’t dried yet. It’s gorgeous when the paper’s still soaked with water. It feels like it’s just for me. I mean, it’s still pretty after it’s dried and the paint has set, but the glistening gem-like beauty of the colors as they spread over the paper never fails to take my breath away.

なんです。乾いて、紙に定着した絵の具の色も、それはそれで綺麗だし、
好きなんですけれど、色を塗っている途中の、あのキラキラしていて宝石
みたいな状態には「うわあ」って、いつも思いますね。
